Backups & Remote Access
PCW Guardian combines local and off-site protection to help keep your data safe and accessible.
Local Backup (All Plans)
All PCW Guardian plans include support for local image and file backups using a customer-supplied external hard drive.
- We configure image and file backups to your external drive.
- Backups are scheduled to run automatically at 5:00 PM.
- If the computer is off at 5 PM, the backup will run the next time the computer is powered on.
We recommend purchasing a high-quality external HDD so we can configure your local image backups during setup. Drive size must be at least twice as large as your OS drive.
Cloud & Image Backups (Guardian+ & Pro)
Guardian+ adds off-site cloud backup (up to 1TB), while Guardian Pro adds full off-site image backups for faster recovery.
You’ll also receive secure remote access to your enrolled PC:
- Access your computer remotely through your PCW Guardian portal.
- Log in securely from another device when you’re away.
- Important: the computer must be powered on and connected to the internet for remote access to work.

Is PCW Guardian per person or per device?
PCW Guardian is sold per device. If you want 3 devices protected, you’ll enroll 3 plans.
Do all plans include local backups?
Yes. All three plans support local image and file backup using a customer-supplied external hard drive that we configure for you.
What happens if my computer is off at 5 PM when backups are scheduled?
The backup will automatically run the next time the computer is powered on, as long as the external drive is connected.
Which plans include antivirus protection?
SentinelOne antivirus is included with PCW Guardian+ and PCW Guardian Pro.
How do I access my computer remotely?
Visit https://pcw.rmmservices.net and login with your credentials you setup with your invite email. If you didn't receive yet, check your spam folder.
Are hardware repairs or replacements included?
No. PCW Guardian covers software maintenance, backups, and support. Physical repairs and hardware replacement are billed separately.
